Aberdeen's Lady Bulldogs stayed perfect, the guys got win number one and Nettleton's guys made 4-0 with a win against West Point on Tuesday.
In Aberdeen, Dayana McGee scored four straight points to stave off a fourth quarter Amory comeback, then hit 1 of 2 free throws with 4.4 seconds left in a 48-46 win.
"At the end of the day, I'd like a good win, but a bad win is better than a good loss," said Aberdeen coach Latorrence Bivens. "Amory made us go where they wanted to go."
Keonna Ford pulled Amory within 47-46 in the final minute, but Breonna Ford missed a last second heave.
Keonna Ford had a game-high 18 points. McGee had 16 to pace Aberdeen (4-0).
(B) Aberdeen 79 Amory 72
Amory led Aberdeen by seven entering the fourth quarter, but the Bulldogs (1-2) scored 34 points in the final quarter at the Roy Hazzle Gym to pick up win number one 79-72. Anthony McDonald's 42 points had a lot to do with it.
Anthony Spratt had 24 to lead Amory.
Nettleton's girls lost for the first time on Tuesday, a 65-59 loss at the hands of West Point. Camry Jones had 23 in the loss for the Lady Tigers (3-1). West Point improved to 1-1 behind 23 points from Kelsei Ewings.
Nettleton's guys improved to 4-0 with a 72-65 win over West Point. Brandon Jamison had 16 to lead for Tigers in double figures. West Point fell to 1-1.

Chris Tartt had a game-high 19 points for 3-4 Hatley.

The Lady Lions overcame a slow start to beat visiting TCPS 47-45, their first win of the season. They'll face Caledonia on Thursday.
