n Antwune Freeman had 30 points as Smithville went ahead 41-39 on his 3-pointer with 8 seconds left in the third. He hit another to open the fourth before Jore'el Freeman's steal and two made it 46-39.
Amory scored 10 of the next 13, tying the game on Brandon Anderson's 3-pointer with 3:42 to play.
Sammie Griffin then connected from the top of the key to put Amory ahead 52-49 and for good.
Freeman cut it to 55-53 on two free throws, but Amory hit 7-of-8 free throws down the stretch.

n Keonna Ford scored 16 points to lead Amory in a win to open the tournament.
The Lady Panthers had runs of 12 and eight points to build a 26-7 lead after the first period.
The lead peaked at 70-21 in the fourth on two of Asia Swift's 10 points. Sierra Andress added 10 for Amory (5-7). Jessica Thompson led Hamilton (1-12) with nine points.
(G) Aberdeen 70 Hatley 27
n Aberdeen (13-4) got 16 points from Jameika Hoskins and 11 from Michelle Stewart from in a 70-27 win against Hatley (3-8).
(B) Aberdeen 66 Hamilton 51
n Stefan Satori had 25 points to help get the Lions within 41-40 midway through the third period, but Aberdeen went on a 15-2 run to end any upset bids.
The lead swelled to 66-45 on Earnest Williams' basket with 3:50 to play. Williams led Aberdeen with 14 points.
(B) Amory 48, Hatley 23
n Hatley (2-6) cut Amory's lead to 17-16 on a Jordan Standifer free throw with 4:17 left in the third period, but Lashad White's ensuing basket started a 14-0 run that paced the win for the Panthers (7-9). Dwyan Suggs had 13 points for Amory.
(G) Amory 58, Smithville 20
n Amory (4-8) held Smithville to four total points in the second and third periods and got 10 points from Breonna Ford in a win to advance to tonight's finals. Kelsi Watson led Smithville (2-11) with eight points.
