Itawamba Community College´s Rashad Hoskins has signed a football scholarship to play for the Reddies at Henderson State. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound defensive back said he’s looking forward to competing in the highly respected Gulf South Conference.
"It’s a great league and I really like the coaches there at Henderson,” said Hoskins, who played his high school football at Nettleton. "I enjoyed my time at ICC and hope to have the same experience up there.”
Hoskins made 25 solo tackles and assisted on eight others this past season for the Indians, with two tackles for losses totaling seven yards. In addition, the sophomore had a pair of quarterback pressures, caused a fumble, recovered a fumble and broke up two passes. Hoskins also finished among the top ten in the MACJC in kickoff returns with a 22 yard average in 14 returns.
Hoskins transferred at the semester break, which means he will be eligible to compete in spring drills at Henderson State.
