AMORY - A young doe came crashing through the front window at Pizza Hut on Main Street Wednesday afternoon.

According to Pizza Hut employees, no one was dining in that room at the time the deer broke through the front glass. The deer hit a table and died inside the restaurant from its injuries.

Pizza Hut employee Drake McNeese who was not working at the time of the incident took the deer from the building and planned on getting it skinned. He said he had earlier seen stray dogs chasing the deer around the area of Amory Middle School.

Employees were busy sweeping up the broken glass and getting a new window ordered for the gaping hole soon after the deer was removed.
